Cooking provides children with the opportunity to experience food first hand.  Not only do they learn how to prepare food, but also how it is a major part of their health.

Through cooking, children are enabled to experiment with food, be creative, and to prepare our nutritional snacks.   S.E.L.C. makes food preparation enjoyable and a true laboratory for learning at our facility, which has a fully equipped, child-safe kitchen.  Who can resist the appealing effect cooking has on our senses?!  Children are also enthused with cooking in that they are given the chance to behave just as grown-ups do - a rare treat for children.
